How Much Flooring Do I Need?
Measure the floor area, then calculate from the pack coverage stated on the specific product page. Measure each section of the room separately and add the areas together. Recesses, bay windows and connected spaces should be recorded rather than estimated by eye.

Measure the room
Measure each section of the room separately and add the areas together. Recesses, bay windows and connected spaces should be recorded rather than estimated by eye.
Read the pack coverage
Product pages may state a pack coverage value. Use that value for the exact floor you intend to buy because formats and packs differ.
Allow for fitting
A fitter can advise on an allowance for cuts, direction changes and pattern layout. The required allowance is not identical for every room or pattern.
What to check
| Check | How to use it |
|---|---|
| Product format | Start with the construction or pattern named in the guide, then compare individual product pages. |
| Dimensions and coverage | Use the listed thickness, width, length and pack coverage for the exact product rather than a broad category assumption. |
| Room plan | Check subfloor, thresholds, access and fitting requirements before converting an initial quantity into an order. |

Is the same allowance right for all floors?
